Toyota Boshoku acquired SBT net-zero certification

The SBTi has verified Toyota Boshoku Corporation's net-zero science-based target by 2050. Toyota Boshoku Group has acquired SBT certification which is science based target from the international initiative SBTi*1 for its Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.

The net-zero target involves reducing direct emissions by 90% in accordance with SBTi standards, with the remaining emissions offset through carbon removal.The target is to achieve net-zero emissions by reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% and Scope 3 emissions by 90% or more compared to FY20 levels and then achieving neutralization of residual emissions that are difficult to reduce through removal from the atmosphere and permanent storage.
