Toyota Boshoku to Establish Replacement Bumper Manufacturing Company in France

Toyota Boshoku Corporation (Headquarters: Kariya-shi, Aichi, Japan; President: Masanao Motonami) will establish a new company that manufactures replacement bumpers in France in January 2005. The company will construct a plant with about 4,000 m2 of floor space in Onnaing near Valenciennes. It will supply replacement bumpers for Toyota's made-in-Europe vehicles such as Corolla, Varis and Avensis.

Toyota Boshoku supplies almost all replacement bumpers for Toyota vehicles in Japan and aims to establish an efficient high-mix/low-volume production system in the new plant, making the most its accumulated experience and expertise.
