Toyota Boshoku (China) Group's has been conducting reforestation activities in Inner Mongolia

Environment & CSR

The Toyota Boshoku group has been conducting reforestation activities in the Tennger Desert in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In a program carried out primarily under the auspices of Toyota Boshoku (China), our China Regional Management & Collaboration Hub, the company has collaborated with the China Greening Foundation since 2013 in efforts to help prevent desertification.
In a recent planting, approximately 50 people, including Chinese entity members and individuals from government and industry groups such as the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and China Quality Certification Center, partner firms, and suppliers participated in planting 500 trees. The 23,000 trees donated this fiscal year brings the total to over 100,000 trees planted by the Toyota Boshoku group in Inner Mongolia. In addition, a total of 530 thousand trees were planted worldwide in fiscal 2020.
Planting 1.32 million trees is one of the six environmental challenge targets of our 2050 Environmental Vision. The Toyota Boshoku group will continue to encourage afforestation and reforestation activities all around the world, while contributing to the realization of carbon neutrality.
