Toyota Boshoku Receives Highest Rating in CDP Survey

— Selected for CDP’s Supplier Engagement Rating Leaderboard —

Kariya (JAPAN) – In the 2020 Supplier Engagement Ratings operated by CDP*1, Toyota Boshoku Corporation has received the highest possible “A” rating, placing the company on the corporate survey’s Leaderboard for the first time.

The survey assesses companies on their corporate initiatives to combat climate change. Ratings are given based on surveys in four categories: governance, targets, Scope 3*2 emissions accounting, and supplier engagement. This year approximately 5,800 companies were surveyed, with 396 companies (83 of these Japanese companies, including our own), selected for the Leaderboard.

We were recognized for our efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through all of our group’s supply chains.

Our 2050 Environmental Vision states that “we will work together with all stakeholders with the aim of creating a sustainable global environment where children can lead their lives with a smile.” Under the vision, we pursue activities in order to achieve six challenge goals, including the challenge of achieving zero CO2 emissions. Going forward, we will continue to challenge ourselves to achieve a carbon-free society in all our supply chains and create a sustainable global environment.
