Toyota Boshoku Corporation (Global Mainstay Hub: Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture, President & CEO: Masayoshi Shirayanagi) Chinese subsidiary, GUANGZHOU INTEX AUTO PARTS CO., LTD. held a groundbreaking ceremony on September 6th for the construction of a new plant in Xiaohudao Industrial Park in Guangzhou, China.
The new plant will prepare for future production capacity increases, and will aim to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of logistics for auto parts in the Guangzhou area.
The building will be completed in September 2024, and the production of seats, door trims, etc. will start after in 2025, and will be supplied to GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd.
