Kariya (JAPAN) -November 22, 2022 - Toyota Boshoku Corporation has developed products such as seats and interiors for use on the all-new Lexus RX, which was released in November 2022 by Toyota Motor Corporation.

1.Front seats
[New adjustable cushion length mechanism (equipped on Version L)]
Creating a new construction that varies the cushion length of the front seats can provide support up to the area behind the knees of even tall passengers and contributes to improved comfort. The new sliding mechanism enables greater adjustment of the seat length at 34 mm (effective cushion length ratio) compared to conventional products. Furthermore, even when the length is changed, the new construction ensures that no grooves are formed, which achieves a more comfortable seating arrangement.

2.Rear seats
[Seat ventilation system]
Newly equipped with a seat ventilation system* on the rear seats. Ducts are built in the seat cushion to form channels for air to flow. This maintains airflow even in limited spaces, which helps improve comfort.
*A ventilation system that prevents unpleasant stuffiness by absorbing air into the seat and seat back via a fan mounted inside the seat itself.

[Seat shape that mitigates head sway]
The urethane shape of the seat backrest has been devised to hold the passenger in place. This shape retains the chest of the passenger so that their head can be supported vertically. This type of seat mitigates unpleasant head sway while the vehicle is moving, and has been constructed to prevent fatigue even when traveling in the vehicle for a long period of time.
