Environment & CSR

Kariya (JAPAN) - October 15, 2021 - Toyota Boshoku Corporation has set a new target to reduce carbon emissions to 50% (compared to fiscal year 2014 levels) by 2030, toward realizing carbon neutrality.

In 2016, Toyota Boshoku laid out its 2050 Environmental Vision and is now tackling the challenge of achieving zero CO2 emissions in Toyota Boshoku group as part of it. The Carbon Neutral Environment Division established in April, 2021 further accelerates the activities--including energy saving and utilization of green energy in an effort to meet company targets. The immediate aim is to achieve 100% renewable electric power by 2050 and we will start the activity from the Global Mainstay Hub in Kariya, Japan , within fiscal year 2022.

All of the Toyota Boshoku group companies continue to work together in a unified way that aligns with the group's materiality toward achieving a sustainable society through activities aimed at realizing carbon neutrality.
