On 6th October, 2014, Toyota Boshoku Corporation was awarded the CREATIVITY & INNOVATION Division Award at the INVEST IN LOMBARDY AWARDS 2014 of the Lombardy Region in Italy. The INVEST IN LOMBARDY AWARDS seek to recognize companies actively making social investments in Lombardy. Toyota Boshoku was presented this award in recognition of its establishment of a design studio, "Toyota Boshoku Milan Design Branch" (hereafter, TBMD), and great contribution to the region and society at large through its business activities.

With the aim of proposing attractive automobile interior spaces that will delight customers around the world, in 2011 Toyota Boshoku established TBMD as a design development base in the city of Milan in Lombardy--the city that leads the world's design trends--and opened a new showroom in 2014. TBMD has been undertaking various activities to explore new possibilities, while experiencing diverse cultures and corporate values through communicating and building connections with people from Italy as well as from other parts of the world. As one of its major activities, since 2012 TBMD has exhibited at the annual international furniture trade fair "Milano Salone," where, in cooperation with local manufacturers, it proposes the possibility and charms of a new lifestyle, using materials and products from Toyota Boshoku.

In the future, Toyota Boshoku will continue striving to create new corporate values by making the maximum use of the knowledge it has gained through interaction with diverse people.
