― Promoting the global introduction of renewable energy ー

TOYOTA BOSHOKU TURKIYE and TB SEWTECH TURKEY, European production subsidiaries of Toyota Boshoku Corporation (Headquarters: Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan; President, CEO and CRO: Masayoshi Shirayanagi), constructed a solar power generation facility and held an opening ceremony for the facility on September 10th, 2024.

Turkey is focusing on the introduction of renewable energy. In response, Toyota Boshoku constructed a solar power generation facility to ensure a stable supply of renewable energy. The facility has a power generation capacity of 10 MWp (megawatt peak generation capacity). The renewable energy produced by the facility is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 5,800 tons per year.
As a result, TOYOTA BOSHOKU TURKIYE and TB SEWTECH TURKEY will be able to cover all electricity their demand for the two companies through renewable energy generated in-house.

In its 2050 Environmental Vision, the Toyota Boshoku group has set the goal of "achieving GHG Net-zero in the plant *." The group has been accelerating the introduction of renewable energy since fiscal 2022.
In Japan, 12 of the group's 13 plants have achieved a 100% renewable energy adoption rate for electricity. Going forward, the group aims to achieve a 100% adoption rate at domestic subsidiaries and affiliates by fiscal 2030, and 100% adoption at all plants (including overseas plants) by fiscal 2035.
*Note: Reducing greenhouse gas emissions from factories to virtually zero
