Toyota Boshoku Kentucky Harrodsburg Receives 2011 Quality Achievement Award from PACCAR

Harrodsburg, KY May 16, 2012 – For the fourth consecutive year, Toyota Boshoku Kentucky’s (TBKY) plant in Harrodsburg, KY has received an award from PACCAR in recognition of its commitment to consistently manufacturing high quality products.  PACCAR, the manufacturer of premium commercial vehicles sold around the world under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates, recognizes suppliers who performed at or below the 50 PPM achievement level for 2011 with the Quality Achievement Award. 

TBKY Harrodsburg supplies interior door trim for Kenworth and Peterbilt facilities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and as of this year, Australia.  The PACCAR team at TBKY Harrodsburg consists of 20 dedicated and skilled team members that have exceeded PACCAR’s expectation for quality.  Speaking on the meaning of this award to the company, TBKY Plant Manager Brian Smith said, “We are proud to be among a short list of suppliers that received this recognition for 2011, which is our fourth consecutive Quality Achievement Award.  Our plant is grounded in the TB Way and TPS principles which made this accomplishment possible. We look forward to the future, knowing that with our foundation and team members’ eye for quality we will continue to be a valued supplier to PACCAR.”
