Toyota Boshoku prepares for the expanding automotive filter business in China-Moving Tianjin Toyota Boshoku Automotive Parts to a new plant-
Kariya(JAPAN)- October 23, 2018- Toyota Boshoku Corporation (Tokyo:3116) relocated Tianjin Toyota Boshoku Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. (Tianjin, China) to a new plant. This aimed for the establishment of a production system capable of responding to the business expansion of automobile filter products in China. The operation launched in October 2018.
With its production area that is 1.5 times larger than the previous location, the plant will respond to an order increase in the future. A resin molding facility newly introduced can achieve integrated production from parts to finished products for air cleaners and other air induction components, while strengthening competitiveness. Furthermore, for creating a people- and environment-friendly plant, measures include installation of photovoltaic power generation panels and use of rainwater-absorbing concrete. It was the first time to take countermeasures against storm water overflow in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area.
