LAWRENCEVILLE, IL - March 24, 2016 - Automotive Technology Systems, LLC (ATS) will change its name on April 1, 2016 to Toyota Boshoku Illinois, LLC. Opening in Lawrenceville, Illinois in 1999, ATS became wholly owned by Toyota Boshoku in 2008. The new name will better align the company within the Toyota Boshoku America Inc. family.

Toyota Boshoku Illinois operates a two-shift schedule employing 950 team members at the growing Lawrenceville facility. All employees will remain with the company. It supplies multiple auto manufacturers with seats, doors and carpets for several models of automobiles.

The Illinois location will soon complete a 126,000 square foot expansion project. The decision to expand and upgrade the plant will allow Toyota Boshoku Illinois to increase production, meeting the additional demand from auto manufacturers as well as consolidating the logistic functions into one location. In addition, the expansion is a clear statement of the trust in the highly qualified staff that makes up the Lawrenceville operation, and in their growth potential.
