(SHANGHAI, China) January 27, 2016 – Toyota Boshoku (China) Co., Ltd.  was honored with the best technological innovation award as one of the Top 10 corporate headquarters in Pudong. “Based on Free Trade Zone, Toyota Boshoku China opened up a new model in localization of development function and becoming the most reliable global company in China”, noted the appraisal committee at the awarding ceremony held at Shanghai Center on January 27th. 

Top 10 corporate headquarters in Pudong award was jointly sponsored by Shanghai Pudong Business Council, Shanghai Pudong Radio and Television Station and Pudong Times Office. Candidates were selected as outstanding companies by the appraisal committee through comprehensive research and evaluation considering its impact and R&D capability, and final 14 winners were selected by online voting and experts’ final assessment.

As a window of China’s reform and opening-up, more and more corporate headquarters are placed in Pudong within 25 years reform. Currently, more than 400 headquarters including the main or regional headquarters of global companies and of large domestic companies are gathered, and being an important innovation drive and impetus for Pudong to become one of four core functional areas of Shanghai.

Toyota Boshoku China will enhance R&D activity at China headquarters and R&D center, taking advantage of policy support and talent in Pudong New Area and the FTA, and put its best efforts to continue developing higher quality products to meet Chinese customer needs, contributing to the development of China’s automobile industry.
