(Kariya,Japan)May 14,2012 – Toyota Boshoku Corporation (President Shuhei Toyoda) has recently begun production of seats and other interior components for the Toyota Corolla, in Changchun, China through Sichuan FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd.*1 (hereafter “Sichuan FAW Toyota”)
Production began at CHANGCHUN FAWAY TOYOTA BOSHOKU AUTO PARTS CO.,LTD (hereafter “CHANGCHUN FAWAY TOYOTA BOSHOKU”), a manufacturing joint venture formed between Changchun FAWAY Automobile Components Co., Ltd.*2 and Toyota Boshoku (China) Co., Ltd.*3
Toyota Boshoku group already manufactures Toyota Land Cruiser and Prius seats at the Changchun branch of Tianjin Intex Auto Parts Co., Ltd.*4 for delivery to the Changchun plant (‘East plant’) of Sichuan FAW Toyota. In addition, Toyota Corolla seats, door trim, floor carpets and luggage area trim are manufactured at CHANGCHUN FAWAY TOYOTA BOSHOKU for delivery to the new Changchun plant (‘West plant’) of Sichuan FAW Toyota, which began operations in May of 2012.
