Toyota Boshoku (China) Held the 6th Skill Competition

(SHANGHAI, China) May 31, 2015—Toyota Boshoku (China), the world’s leading automotive interior system supplier, held its 6th Skill Competition on May 31 in Guangzhou. 72 employees from 16 production entities took part in the competitions of 9 skills including electrical maintenance, sewing, sewing machine maintenance, seat assembly, door sheet assembly, robot operation, mould assembly, forklift truck and welding.

Adhering to the philosophy of “Skill Spreading”, Toyota Boshoku began to hold the “Toyota Boshoku Global Skill Competition” in 2006 to further raise all the employees’ awareness of bettering their skills and constantly increase the general skill level by boosting the communication among all the companies around the world.

All the Toyota Boshoku (China)’s enterprises intensified their exercise in daily work for the annual global skill competition. All the companies had held internal competitions to elect the best competitors of all the events for the annual skill competition in China. The skill competition emphasized competitors’ occupational basic skills and comprehensive attainment, and evaluated their standard conformance, professional competence and speed. The competitors expressed that they had consolidated their technical skill with the help of this competition, their leaders and colleagues. Meanwhile, they also realized their disadvantages compared with their rivals from other companies and got a clearer goal for future endeavor.
