Automobile sales volume in industrialised nations such as Japan has matured to the point where we cannot expect any significant growth going forward. Additionally, the impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake, appreciation of the yen and less dependence of young people on automobiles have led to a reduction in production in Japan and harsher conditions in the automotive industry. Nonetheless, we will leverage the technological expertise amassed in Japan over the years to stave off the hollowing out of this industry and take on the challenge or realising even higher quality manufacturing.
